The movie based on the animated series of about 20 years ago, it's actually not a bad movie. A perfect late-Summer popcorn flick, the plot revolves around the origins of Cobra and an assortment of major players.

Good gadgets, pretty good special effects though some obvious CG stuff, plenty of really good action sequences, and origin stories to tie a few things together. The only thing spoiling it a bit was actually the trailer; that scene with the Eifel Tower? That's the money-shot that occurs about midway through; they should have left it out of the trailers.

A good movie to wind down the Summer with, this is definitely good matinee' material.
