The Grudge

When someone dies in the grip of a powqerful fear or rage, a curse is born in that place. thus is the basis for this remake of a popular Japanese film, wherein Sarah Mischelle geller is an American in Tokyo when she encounters such a place... and all the people that keep dying around there.

The story isn't too bad, and the visuals and general feel of the ghostly segments have a good creepy aspect to them, and I even heard a few screams from th4e audience. I enjoyed it but not everyone may find it all that scary, though it's still quite interesting, in a creepy sort of way. A series of flashbacks tells of how others meet their ends, but always coming back to the main character of Geller. Good storytelling, good effects, passable fright-quotient.

A good solid fright fest.
