Spiderman 3

I'll say this straightforward; in all matters that count, be it drama, emotional content, action, special effects, and even some bits of humor, this is the best movie year-to-date. Better so than the second movie, and that's saying something.

Here's all you need to know about the story. Sandman as a city-menacing threat of unstoppable proportions. Venom first on Spidy then on Brock, and with that latter complete with the fanged overly large snarling mouth you'd seen in comics and animation. Junior Osborn conflicting between revenge and old frienship. Mary Jane Watson in love with someone that has trouble making private time amidst his more public alternate-persona duties. Bruce Campbell and Sam's brother in humorous bit rolls. And of course, Spidy caught in the middle of it, fighting the violent emotions induced by the symbiot. Finish off with a Danny Elfman soundtrack (not yet in stores, mores the pity), and you can't really loose.

DO I have to say anything more? You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll kiss a few bucks good-bye... and love yourself for doing so.
