Shades of Body Snatchers and Puppet Masters, this film does a bit more than just seek to expand that Heinlien-generated genre. In fact the characters in this film not only make reference to these famous stories, but they do something that other films of this type don't do.

They've read all those same Sci-Fi classics that us in the real world have and use such references as the means of figuring out what to do. Those body-snacher types in the movies always have a central queen alien, they reason, so why not these. Using a firm knowledge of science fiction references and classic genre twists, they make their way through the strangeness happenings at their school and track down the head nasty alien before all is lost.

A salute to classic B movies of this type, with the inevitable slight twist at the end, this film is fun wrapped up in a thin veil of mystery. Definitely a good kind of cheesey movie, which is why I'm giving it a rating on my Cheesey Movie Scale of "Provalone".
