The Amazing Spiderman

The unneccesary reboot of the Spiderman franchise, but while giving us another origin story so soon was not needed, the movie itself was actually pretty goos. In places, great even. And the one thing it does have over the first movie, and that is the web shooters are back!

This version brings us The Lizard as the villain, and does the smart thing of sticking with just the one villain. And at 2 hrs and 16 minutes, they don't rush the story either; it maintains its proper epic feel. And as per typical Spiderman, it becomes inevitable that the people of the city will be on Spidey's side, and that is where our hero shines. There is a problem with keeping Spiderman's mask on, since he seems willing to take it off nearly anytime he can get, but the story is good, the emotion is strong, and the setup for sequels is there (to see what I mean, don't leave when the end credits begin). So overall, Spiderman rules.
