Angels And Demons

The sequel to Da Vinci code based on the book that was actually the prequel to same, Tom Hanks returns as the symbologist called in to figure out the expected centuries-old clues in order to find where an Illuminati terrorist is keeping both some kidnapped Cardinals and a bomb due to take out Vatican City and half of Rome in just a few hours. The clock ois ticking and little time to follow the ancient trail to where the Illuminati would most likely hide everything.

All in all not bad, and only one moment of treating the audience like a bunch of idiots ("...we made a rare form of matter called anti-matter..."), though there was one time I found myself mouthing the dialog verbatimbefore Tom Hanks delivered it. Just a bit predictable (always look for thre least-likely guy to be the villain, no matter how innocent appearing) at times, but we get to see Rome, the Vatican (or reasonable facsimilies), follow some clues in a language nobody watching the film will understand, and listen to some great music while the chase commences.

Perhaps not as good as DaVinci Code but good enough until the really big Summer Flicks come out, but if you see it make sure it's a Matine'.
