It's finally here, the ultimate movie-monster matchup. It's present-day and the predators are returning to earth for a once a century ritual involving killing... not Humans but those creatures from Alien. Their ultimate prey. Naturally a few of us Humans get in the middle of it all.

The setup is good and doesn't violate or contradict any previous mythology from either monster, and in fact builds upon it. No stretching the plot to get the people there, and even the old-used bit of prior visits to older civilizations works well enough. The whole ritual between predators and alien is well thought out, and the flashback to times past is great to look at. And while the fights between the two monster comnbatants is naturally central stage, the humans manage to NOT get lost in the shuffle like one might fear. In fact, for both good and bad, humans end up playing very important rolls, one of which ends up leading to a great team-up later in the movie and a most-satisfying ending.

Very good overall, though a few limited minds might question that last little scene at the end. well, that's because they weren't paying attention to events a and how a certain scene was cut away from earlier in the film; me, I saw it coming and was not put off by it. Go see this, it will no doubt be the last big movie of this summer.
