Blade 2

Blade is back and Welsey Snipes seems to have fun playing the vampiric halfbreed who drips with style and attitude. A couple of ciche lines, an over-zealous degree of heroic style for the main character but hey, in this film it works and becomes an enjoyable little piece of matinee' (Oh yes, we're hitting the Cheesey Scale here).

Blade is the worst nightmare for the vampires but now there's something they feeds on them, hence their need to ally with Blade. The rest is nearly straight-forward as he joins up with a vampire hit-squad pikced and trained by their main lord himself and lead by his daughter. The rest is pretty straight forward shoot-bite-kill-die that's not afraid to also add in an occassional humorous comment as appropriate. Involved in that are several excellent pieces of fight choreography that will have you stuck to the screen, and a unique enough visual for the newest threat to Blade and the Vamps.

I like Blade 2, I like Wesley Snipes (he takes on all the fun roles that Denzel Washington and that chip on his shoulder won't touch), it's a fun film with an actor obviously having fun in a grandios role. Nothing really drags it down and for a cheesey film it's actually quit good. So, on my Cheesey Scale this thing hits a Limburger!
