Not so much a horror movie as a send up of the entire genre, Cabin starts out as your standard kids go to cabin/lake/whatever to systematically get slaughtered by some beastie. The difference is the reason behind the whole affair. We see in the very beginning that it is engineered by some type of government facility for reasons soon to be revealed. What happens becomes a sort of horror flick with enough tropes of the genre sprinkled around in strategic places to get me laughing with the joke. By the timme we get to the stuff at the end, it's like a combination monster madhouse and a tour of what lies beneath Disneyland.

All in all, not a horror film exactly, and not a parody exactly, but a brief bit of fun that ends with... well, the End.
