Coraline

The latest in Tiem Burton style computer-like stop-motion animated flick, this one designed for 3-D from the ground up and not just with 'gee-wow" 3-D bits randomly inserted. A dark fantasy in which a girl being ignored by her parents and finds an entrance into another more "perfect" world in the house they're renting out. Naturally this perfect world has a catch and therein lies the tale.

This is actually a pretty good film, though for the upscale 3-D glasses be prepared for another $2 onto the ticket price. Perhaps a bit too dark for the younger children, though perfectly enjoyable for everyone else including the adults, it includes a cast of eccentric characters- and their other-counterparts- that are enjoyable to watch while the movie gets to the point at which everything goes from perfect to black as midnight.

I'd recommend this as a good matinee' movie though don't forget that extra two bucks.
