The Convenant

So much possibility, so many places I spotted where s;ome great twists could have been inserted, so much great raw material to work with, and yet all they did was a standard predictable-as-sunlight flick. Boys with special powers coming of age encounter a member of the family outcast from their convenant who wants his revenge; no twists or turns, just a straight road through the see-through plot. Nothing really exciting, nothing really bad, it's just there.

This film is just an excuse for the knock-down at the end, which itself is nothing to write home about. To borrow from another film, what we have here is a failure to excite. Since this thing qualifies for my Cheesey Scale, then I give it a Feta. I expected more, especially from the guys behind Underworld, but apparently they left behind the writing talent/I> from Underworld.
