Coyote Ugly

This film is basivcally a female version of the old TOm Cruise movie Cocktail. You got the neophyte with a dream being taught by the old master (or rather in this case, mistress), the personal crises midway through, and finally the dream come true as well as the love interest. All very much just like Cocktail.

That said, it's still a rather entertaining movie. Okay, aside from the obvious bits built for the 18-34 male demographic, this thing mactually does have a plot- basic though it is. Small-town girl comes to New York for her dream only to find life a bit tougher then expected. Enter the bar Coyote Ugly and it's denizen coyotes, girls whose ability at cartwheeling drinks about their arms as they're dancing along the bar is the main draw of the film. They take her in and from there youyr averagejunior-high student could write the plot. Still, half the fun is getting there.

Just to reassure the parents out there, there are no exposed rears or breasts, though perhaps a tease or two. This film is enjoyable and fun and as harmless as the original Cocktail was.

...If perhaps a bit more appealing to everyone's favorite demographic.
