Doomsday

Doomsday = Escape From New York + Mad Max + 28 Days (which in turn is a rip-off of several other similar movies) + a first-person shoot-em-up game (For this last, mainly one particular scene of shooting endless numbers of crazed locals). Through in several gaphs in logic and common sense and you got a definite cheap cheesey flick.

A few of those gaphs. 27 years of Scottland cut off, sociaety all but gone, and there's still gasoline left in the cars? Also in that vein, once my mom left a car sitting for a few months in the driveway with the battery hooked up and gas in it without starting it up and when she finally tried the pistons had frozen; they found a new car sealed away in a box for two decades, all gased up and battery hooked up and oit starts right off? Then there's the APCs with two-inch armor that succumbs to gang violence and apparently doesn't use armored glass for its windows (an arrow got through it). There's more but you get the idea.

I've seen worse; this film did have some basic mindless entertainment value. So on my Cheesey Scale it rates a Feta.
