End Of Days

It's the turn of the millenium and the Devil is here to take over. Yes, it's another Coming Appocalypse flick in the tradition of films like The Omen, but a fairly well done one.

In a role removed from the normal Arnold role, our hero is a boarderline suicidal alcoholic to whom it falls to fight the devil and keep his would-be bride away from him. He isn't the standard clean-cut Arnold hero, and even starts out doubting his hero status. A well played role in a well done film, add to it a Devil played to sublime perfection and you got a film worth the price of admission.

The one complaint would be the ending credits; once again a film has given way to the annoying habbit of including a segment by some loud-voiced group that has nothing to do with the film's mood other than trying to push their albums as a substitute for a real sound track. An industry-wide fad that should be quickly discouraged.

All in all, see tis film before the current millenium comes to an end. Maybe there's a chance it'll tell you what's in store.
