Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince

Well, things are getting darker for Harry and the gang, and teen love (not to mention hormones) is in the air for this sixth installment. Mystery, a lot of exposition, flash-backs, and the final pieces of the mystery of Voldemort starting to fall into place. Overall a very good film, the climax of which is spoiled a bit for me because of all the press that scene had after the book came out (which I have not read). SOme humorous teen-love stuff, lots of hunting around for Voldemort's secret, and then something about a half-blood prince that seemed nearly completely sidelined.

I loved it overall, but my one complaint would be that the Half-Blood Prince stuff seemed to be nearly dropped for about an hour or so after the initial finding of his old book. When the big reveal foinally came of "Yes Harry, I am the Half-Blood Prince" I sorta shrugged, thought "Well, it makes sense", and the kinda went "So?". I bit more input from the title-plot would have been nice, though that could have been an omission within the movie that the book makes more of. The main plot follows the search for Voldemort's secret with occasional glance's at the Halfd-Blood Prince's old text book.

Yes, overall really good; we have another blockbuster and guarrenteed people waiting for the final two back-to-back installments.
