Another movie based on a Disney park ride and this one not all that bad either. Designed as a comedy staring Eddie Murphy, it's as much fun as the ride.

There's the expected appearance of just about every single visual and gag from the ride, but they actually managed to work it all into a workable plot without looking forced. Spooky fun, this isnot a time to worryabout how predictable theplot might be, just sit back andwatch the spooks fly by. A bit short, though, not quite breaking an hour and a half, but still fun as a family finds themselves trapped in a swamp-shrouded New Orleans mansion with the expected curse on it. Andofcourse there's 999 ghosts... with room for one more.

Stay through the end credits, by the way, as just like the park ride, there's a little something at the very end ("Hurry back...").
