Okay, here's a movie that I actually HAVE read the source material for, and I've got to say they've done a pretty good job of translating it to the screen and getting the right spirit in there. As funny, bizzare, and strange as the book, this film is loads of fun.

About the only thing ommitted from the book is the bit on digital watches; logical considering that's not a big deal anymore, although they could have easily substitued cell phones in place of the digital watches. Anyway, the characters are all great, the plot (?) just as silly, and all of it ridiculous fun. From Marvin the depressed robot to pan-dimensional hyper-intelligent mice it's all in there. All I can see is go see it, and don't forget to stay through the end credits as there's one last Guide entry about mid-way through it. This film's fun.
