The Hobbit: An Unexpected JOurney

Well, they finally did it plunged into the Tolkeinian debths and pulled out another gem. I was worried upon hearing that The Hobbit wold be a 3-picture deal. I mean, I read the book and it's definitely a one-movie affair. But they managed to extend it into the realm of epic without resorting to fluff.

We know the story so I'll just skip past that part and say that they rendered every single scene in the book quite rfaithfully and extended a few brief mentioins that needed extending. I don't want to spoil it, but just say that it's great. The whole thing has a feeling of grandeur rightly done, with a bit of fun and some old familar faces. All I can say is just go and see it on the Big screen.
