The Man With The iron Fists

An entertaining salute to the classic Shaw BrothersMartial arts flicks that came out of Hong Kong a few decades back, Iron Fists is not a clone of any of them but an original done in the same spirit. Heck, they even do the opening credits in the exact same manner as the Shaw Brothers classics. And if imitating the spirit isn't enough, they got Gordon Liu! In case you don't know the name, you WILL know the face. He's the guy with the long white beard and flowing white hair that always played somebody's master (often wearing blue robes); sometimes the good guy, sometimes the villain.

I rather enjoyed this. A perfect Kung Fu matinee' flick that served the purpose of entertaining me. Of course, what do you expect when the guy behiund it (RZA) is not only a fan of those old Kung Fu Flicks, but studied films under geek-boy director Quentin Tarantino.
