About the only thing I spotted wrong with this one was a continuity error regarding which way Gandalf was holding his staff on entering in to meet Theoden from one moment to the next but that's it. Gollum looks like he was modeled after Peter Lorre (bad spelling aside, remember him?), those worgs are BIG and nasty, the Ents are great, the battles- oh, the battles... Then there's the viatsas, the entire cities they built just for this film, the humor with Gimli the Dwarf and his friendly elven rival (also the question answered about female Dwarves), the two faces of Gollum versus Smeogol, the music and epic sense, the...

Well, you get the idea. Even if you've never read the books, or read them and don't like them, you'll still love this film. Just three hours of blissful, fantasy-geek glory...
