Mission Impossible 2

In sort, one of the best James Bond movies I've seen in a while. The central character has plenty of action scenes, the other secondary characters are kept out of sight, there's the obligatory female ointerest, there;s...

Oh, wait a minute... This is supposed to be Mission Impossible? Hmm, that changes things a bit. Still an entertaining movie on it's own, just so long as you forget it's supposed to be Mission Impossible. True, TOm Cruise has an MI team, but they are never realoly part of things like in the original series; the series was all about a team doing a number on some third-world bad guy. This is about just one character. They have one guy ion the team because they need someone at a computer keyboard, onaother one whose function seems to be wise cracks and driving a helicopter, and the thgird member is the Bond-style love interest who's not even involved in a MI-style con job but just a simple infiltration and info-gathering gig. Definitely not MI.

It does have a plot, and plenty of good action sequences, including some motorcycle sequences that boarder on the physically impossible (somebody had something more then a correspondence course in dribving here). Your bvasic Bond ripoff, all it needs is Q and a room full of gadgets.

See it because it's entertaining, but don't see it because it's Mission Impossible because then you'll be disappointed.
