The crime's about to happen but befor it does you're arrested for it. That's the premise in a future where three precogs are enslaved into seeing only the future, specifically murders. They see it, the murder gets prevented, and the would-be murderer goes to jail. Perfect system.

Or is it? When you're the cop in the system and suddenly the next murder comes up as you doing it then you have reason to wonder if the system can be manipulated. Now with the system is hunting you, then throw in a visiting FBI agent who has believes in doing things with old-fashioned detective work (and hence very dangerous), you have a limited time to solve a murder you know you won't committ and a SciFi thriller worth the entire two and a half hours. Another one based on a story by Philip K. Dick, there are no weak spots and plenty to think through even after you leave the theater.

Intelligent yet action oriented SciFi worth the check.
