I saw this in IMAX 3D at the local AMC, my first IMAX experience, though not the 6-story full IMAX but still twice the size of normal screens (and the 3D glasses twice the normal size as well). The 3D is good, the screen size something I want to see the forthcoming Star Trek movie on (it's coming out in IMAX as well, and the next Harry Potter), and the movie itself a lot of fun.

A combo of Toho monster flicks and Looney Tunes, the monster origins and logic seems ripped right out of a 50s monster flick, while the logic and "science" of the aliens had everything but Melvin The Martian. Throw in a humor-infused basic invasion story and it's a pretty good film. The first, apparently, of several IMAX formated films yet to come.
