The Pacifier

Vin Diesel in a comedy? Well, anything's worth a try at least once, but in this case it really comes off pretty good. He's a Navy Seal whose assignment is now to guard a bunch of kids in a family home in subburbia. He plays straight-man to the situations tossed at him and the result comes off pretty funny. The background plot to find a lost computer program is sturdy enough to hold the movie up, but is still an excuse for what comes between the beginning and end.

Funny, amusing, entertaining, and at one small time or two maybe a little bit emotional. This time as Vin Diesel stretches his wings as an actor he actually succeeds. The Pacifier is a good enjoyable matinee' flick.
