The prequel that people waited 33 years for, Prometheus tells us what happened before the original Alien, what that Space Jockey is, and where the alien critters come in at. This is not a horror movie at all, but defintely a broader SciFi flick that shows us the critters from Alien are just a small part of a much larger story. It should also be noted that there will so obviously be a sequel or two, as this first film just seems like the intro, the beginning of a much larger plot arc. It was interesting, but incomplete. There is so much more awaiting to be told. Do I recommend this first installm ent of a new series? yes, but stick to matinee' or Early Bird showings.
