Queen Of The D**ned

From the Anne Rice book of the same name- which, judging from this film was obviously the basis for the entire Goth movement- with Aayila as the aformentioned Queen, it's the return of th most famous modern-day vampire. Not Tom Cruise, but a rather dark eyed Lstat nonetheless ith a it of audio voice trickery to make him truly the vampire. I do regret, as I'm sure do many, the passing of Aaliya as this role shows that the singer had a great film career ahead of her as well

I can't say how it matches up to the book as I've not read it, and I'm not really fond of the style of music, but as a story it works. Akasha is a true menace, incinerating vampirs at a brush of her hand, while one mortal woman with a confused past becomes drawn more into Lestat's world. As matinee fare this works. A vampire hiding out in the modern day world of goth music and annoying all the other vampires as well.

I guess this is really a fancy B movie, so I'll give it a rating with a Motarella.
