Riddick

An actual follow-up to Chronicals of Riddick instead of the Pitch Black it at first looks like, this picks up after the Necromongers have betrayed Riddick and left him for dead on a very dangerous planet. At that point we get to see Riddick in survival mode until he foresees a far greater danger on the horizon, necessitating a desperate measure; the activating of an emergency beacon which clearly broadcasts his presence, knowing full well that bounty hunters will be after him for the huge price on his head. In fact, the bounty is double for him dead. Soon after that two different bounty hunter groups arrive, one after Riddick's head, the other with questions only Riddick can answer. what follows is a fight for survival and a way off the planet, at least until the far greater danger that Riddick knows of throws a wrench in thing.

The story is not all that bad, the action acceptable, so in other words this is pretty good B-movie matinee' fare that carries on the story of Riddick in his universe. From wheat I hear this is not the last one, which is to be expected since the movie starts with Riddick in search of his hgome planet of Furyia. So take a break from the heat and give this one a try.
