Based on a series of stories, our hero adventurer Dirk is bent on finding the last Civil war Ironclad and along the way bumps into a lovely young doctor trying to trace down a plague in Africa. The setup given, what proceeds is a good old fashioned adventure romp that doesn't due too bad.

Sure, you can start conecting the dots wellbefore the main characters due, but that doesn't take from the enjoyment of the movie. The fact that they're looking for an American Civil War Ironclad vessel in the African desert should tell you how far things are going to bend to get some fun and adventure. Fun and adventure, you can't ask for more in a good matinee flick.
