Scream 3

The last installment in the Scream series and we finally get to find out all the secrets. Typical Scream fare, with plenty of stabbing, a twist or two, and the usual list of suspects and dying young people. Perhaps not as wry as the priginal, but with a few humorous nips at the beginning. The script definitely shows the signs of having been written as part of the whole and not just a hacked in last minute addition to fit the first two films. The film ties nicely into the other two and wraps everything up with no loose ends left to wonder about.

The one detail I'll point out is when, towards the end of the film, the killer seems to have developed the ability to teleport around the house despite intervening walls, physical impossibilities, and not enough time to have gotten from Point A to Point B. A minor point, and not too bad a slip for the genre.

All in all it's rather fun and nicely draws the Scream series to a stabbing close.
