Season Of The Witch

It's matinee' time for Nic Cage, this time with a couple of disillusioned knights charged with taking an accused witch across 400 leagues of Europe (that's 1200 miles for those wondering how far they actually traveled in about 2-3 days by slow-moving wagon). Of course the mystery here is, is she really a witch or is this just Black Plague era European small-minded paranoia. Well, in the end the truth won't exactly astound you but it will explain a few things that happen along the way.

All in all not bad for an obvious off-season matinee' flick; almost qualifies for my Cheesey scale. While many people would boo Nicholas Cage, this movie lives up to be exactly what it's supposed to be: cheap opcorn fare. So don't pay more than Earlu BIrd admission when you see it.
