Shrek 2

The "much better than the first movie" sequel to Shrek that also sports snippets of better computer animation (mainlyon the minor human side-characters you only see for short times.. Picking up where the first film left off, it involves a Mafioso Fairy Godmother, John Cleese as the disapproving Kingly father, and the usual rouster of fantasy characters. Whilemeeting the parents, the Fairy Godmother finds out that it wasn't Prince Charming who rescued the Princess and from there things get screwy.

Predictable plot elements but fun to see come down nonetheless, it does the expected job of twisting poking fun at modern things with a medieval fantasy setting and twisted fairy tails. My personal favorite part is the run for the rescue at the end namely becaue of the choise of music used for the scene- being as how Holding Out For A Hero is my favorite toe-tapping song for such things.

All in all well done, but don't leave when the credits start. Part way through the credits it goes back to the movie for a last scene involving an answer to something brought up at the beginning of the movie (a small plot point I'd already guessed at), then back to the credits again. See it, it's good.
