A combination mind-trip and furious video game, Sucker Punch is the story of an unfortunate girl locked away in a mental institution trying to free herself. During the course of this we are treated to some entertaining views of different versions of reality going on in the main character's head.

This is a pretty fast-paced, entertaining, mind-trip of a movie, though surprisingly it's not designed for the short-attention-span video-game generation (or some Suit's interpretation of such), but is a full-fledged story that just happens to have a lot of fast movement. In some of the dream-sequences the video-game inspirations will make themselves quite apparent. I spotted one sequence based on the classic Castle Wolfenstein and another on Doom. This does not detract from anything, but adds a good combination of sureal and mixed-genre graphic entertainment.
