Surrogates

Another movie about a perfect future gone wrong. In the future nearly everyone just stays at home and operates through their robotic surrogates, connected via a remote electronic link directly to their brains. A world of perfect couch potatoes, n one need do anything in person. Naturally a very few people realize this might lead to the extinction of humanity and object to living through robotic surrogates. Into this world a murder, the first since the use of surrogates; a surrogate is destroyed and with it its human operatror killed; something that's supposed to be impossible. Enter the detective that must solve this case quickly (Bruce Willis).

This is a very good movie, a few twists, good acting by Bruce Willis (who seems to be in the habit of choosing the more cerebral SF flicks; good job), satisfying ending. Nothing mind-blowingly surprising, but excellent nonetheless. A very good SF detective matinee' film worth seeing.
