Swordfish

John Travolta in a movie that's part computer hacker flick, part con-man, and part standard criminal terrorist. In this one he's proving he can very well play a bad guy if given a good enough script; fortunately here we seem to have one.

One of the saving graces of this film is the ending isn't such a neat good guys always win type. They sort of win but not completely, and that more realistic story telling gives this a welcome edge. Definitely not a family show (naked bodies, drugs and booze, people being killed in mass quantities). The computer hacking stuff they display is pretty good on the realism as well (or so a hacker friend of mine tells me- if I ever really knew any computer hackers).

This film is going to have a limited interest, especially out in the summer. See it between the big films if this is your type of fare.
