A not so typical ghost story about a mother and her two children in a big lonely house and the haunting it seems to carry with it. A bit slow moving in the initial telling, in many places the nerve-jangling build-up isn't quite there. It does begin to take off, however about midwsy through as the threat of mysterious beings becomes more pronounced. This is one you'll want to keep your brain in gear for.

Yes it has a twist ending, which I won't reveal here. I will say, however, that I'd guessed what it might be by the time the opening credits were finished and much to my enjoyment turned out to be exactly right. If you're like the rest of the audience that was in there with me however, the ending will surprise you and make for a twist I've only seen in an R.L. Stein story from a few years back.

A movie that would have been better released about October instead of during the Summer, but enjoyable none the less. See it and don't tell your friends what the ending is... See if they can guess it.
