The sequel to the creepy The Ring, this one takes place a few months after the first, when destruction of a copy of The Tape calls forth the ghost's wrath in a new way. Naturaly the walking out of tjhe TV thing isn't new (we've already seen it and it's been parodied to death) which is probably why they did it the way they did. Same basic story with new variations, it's a bit less creepy then the first but still worth the trouble.

I don't want to risk revealing the exact nature of the ghost's revenge, but let's just say that it's something that ghosts and spirits do best. The young boy is one of those Damian creepy types that does his part well, the plot has less of the new discoveries of the mystery then the first but is centered more on fighting the enemy they thought they knew, and the acting is passable enough. All in all not too bad considering and with a resolution that seems logical enough.

Perhaps it won't exactly run rings around the competition but I liked it.
