The Tuxedo

This time out Jackie Chan takes a few ideas from an old short-run series that I know no reviewers out there will remember or realize; anyone remember The Green Hornet? Will put Jackie Chan in as the Kato roll only it's really the sauit he's wearing doing it all and the Green Hornet character is KO'ed in the hospital for the duration. No doubt an in-joke or mild salute to the first Kato which was played by Bruce Lee, and not surprising seeing as how Chan did some stunt work in one of Lee's movies way back when. Well, deeply obscure references aside, let's getr on with this.

Taxi driver become a limmo driver for a super-spy then himself forced to take his place when said spy is rendered inoperative. We then have a TAxi driver turned spy meeting up with a newbie agent on her first field-mission who does not know what the super-spy looks like. What follows is the expected comic spy thriller punctuated with Chan's antics made the more funny as he makes it look like he never knows exactly how he's doing it when he dons the spy's super-suit. Funny, amusing, and great matinee' fare.

Jackie Chan is always fun to watch in action and this film makes no exception.
