Underworld Awakening

The original Death Stalker is back, this time being hunted by Humans, as she finds herself imprisoned in a private lab, escaping then evading recapture while trying to find where they took her love from the first two movies. In general this is a rather enjoyable movie, though good luck finding it in anything but 3D or that small-scale "Imax" some AMC theaters have been putting up. as far as a plot, you can write it on the back of a matchbook, but it's the action you're here for, and in that it's pretty good.

I the way of nitpicking, I would love to know where Selena got those pistols of hers. About a hundred rounds at a time and never once do we see her change clips. And whiel most of the time her jumps and landings from multistory buildings look convincing, a couple of times she delicately touches down as if she could actually fly... or was rather obviously on a wire. It may look neat, but given the setup of these vampires NOT being able to fly, it breaks the fourth wall and gives the gimick away. That aside, and once you stop counting how many bullets have been comming out of the same guns, it's all pretty enjoyable.

As far as the ending, yes it's pretty obvious that there will be a sequel.
