Vampire Academy

Another in the growing sub-sub-genre of Books About Teen Vampires With Perfect Abs Written By Love Lorn Female Authors, this one centers around a high school where vampire guardians learn how to guard their good vampires against the bad ones, and where cheap conspiracies abound. This film had some good parts but overall was rather uneven. At times it was good, at times it had a few plot inconsistencies, went from boring to almost good, at one point I felt like I was watching an episode of some television vampire show (only not as good), and there were even one or two parts where I actually squirmed in my seat. Parts felt a bit rushed and shoe-horned in, like they were pacing this movie with a stopwatch in mind. Over all, while I've seen worse, that does not make this any better. Catch it on television in 6 months.
