At last an X-Men origins movie, telling the back story first of Magneto and Professor X and their meeting, then the first mutants who would later become the X-Men, all under the backdrop of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Magneto and Professor X when they were best friends, Mystique and Professor X growing up together like brother and sister, Beast before he was blue and hairy, how the Professor lost his legs, and the origins of a number of X-Men standard set-pieces. Lots of interesting personal interactions, plot developments, and all in all better than the other three X-Men movies. Considering the lack-luster promos I'd been seeing, I was pleasantly surprised to find myself really enjoying this film and look forward to successive sequels fromt his era of X-Men history.

A very good June start for the Summer.
